Papeete, Taina Marina, 15/04/2018.

New neighbours arrived this morning, a nice HR46 from the UK. They are part of the World ARC contingent, 34 boats in total, so it’s all going to be a bit squeezy!
BlueFlyer got a new engine start battery this afternoon, so now I no longer have to link in the house batteries to start up. It will also help with the battery charging when we’re not on shore power.
Both fuel tanks are full and there are 10 Gerry cans sitting in a row waiting to be filled when we leave here, tax free of course.
The crew arrive next week, yippee! English conversation again. Of course I’ll have to dress properly once more.
I also finally got a pair of new hinges for the top step of the companionway. One of the old ones broke when I lifted the step. They’re not identical but close enough to do the job.
All well here on board. I’m shortly meeting some others for Happy Hour beers and a pizza, looking forward to that as my cooking is not the brilliant.

Very little, only left from schooldays.
English really is becoming the international language, at least in western cultures.

Melbourne weather has turned wintery. Looking forward to some warmth. Very windy here. See you soon.
