Jervis Bay to Wollongong, 13/6/2016
Another long day, mainly motoring. All this quiet windtime is definitely preferable to the opposite. So far we have not been weather delayed on this leg of the journey. Tomorrow looks like a repeat all the way to Port Hacking.
I did another short fuel transfer today just to make sure we didnt run out at an embarrassing moment.
We had more whales today, both sides this time, they really are so special. The last one was just south of Port Kembla. He/she was tail slapping. This, I'm told, is him signalling to his mother I've lost you, come and get me please. I thought it was to stun the fish in the area and the birds flocking overhead were enjoying something.
Its been a good trip so far, with great company and good conditions. Long may this last.
tonight we are tied onto a visitors buoy in the middle of the harbour. These are supplied and maintained by the state government and are available free of charge to visiting boats for 24 hours only.Tomorrow night should be another marina.
