Hi again,
Apologies for missing out yesterday, I just didnt feel like doing a blog.
We left Port Stephens on a cold morning, but at the moment they all are, at 08.00, heading to Forster/Tuncurry for the night. Whales and dolphins along the way, we had to dodge some to avoid potentially running into them.
We found a vacant T head jetty on the river bank and grabbed it before anyone could object. Then we found it had shore power too, a real bonus as we could then run the boat heating. For dinner we went to the local bowling club. Its obviously supported by the Pokie machines, there were dozens of them in one room and TAB betting in another.
Monday morning at 07.50 we departed Tuncurry for Camden Haven, 35 miles further north. All this going north has not resulted in any increase in temperature. A whale with 2 dolphin friends surfaced about 25 metres away, of course there were no cameras available, but Peter did get a photo of the tail.
Arrival at Camden Haven was 5 hours after departure. Lots of motor sailing at up to 10.6 knots! I think if was warmer there would be less of the motoring. It really is cold out on the water with even the smallest breeze blowing, let alone the 15 to 20 we are getting.
Dinner here will be at the United Services Club tonight and then tomorrow on to Trial Bay and an open anchorage for the night. Hopefully not too rolly.

Hopefully it will start getting warmer soon. Sounds like you're making good progress.
Hi Hugh, it's Garry. We were tied up at the same spot 21 years ago on board an Arends 33 called Stormy Lady. We did an overnight from Port Stephens to Camden Haven, then an overnight to Coffs Harbour, and another to Yamba. We had a great sail up the coast with our girls who were 7 and 5. Hope you get some favorable breezes and sunshine
