Wendy

Almost there now! On Saturday I took BlueFlyer out into Port Phillip for a familiarisation sail with 3 crew who had not sailed on her before. We had a great sail in good winds ans small seas. Everyone was happy with the boat. Sunday and Wendy came aboard with 9 crew. Wendy is an extraordinaire girl. She managed Ro fall over the side at least 6 times, and get rescmiued each time! She's not sailing with me am gain. This was of course a Man Overboard drill. Wendy weighs in at 80 kilos and so gives a realistic feel for what is involved in a rescue. It's not I that easy. Today, Monday, BF is out of the water having a clean and scrub before departure. Also a boom brake is being fitted. This will go a long way to preventing accidental gybes when sailing downwind, every ruining sailors preferred direction. Hopefully BF will return to the water on Wednesday. Departure date in looking like the 28th or the 4th, so really close now. There was a BBQ organised for me in the club yesterday. Very enjoyable, thank you Bernie. I apologise for all the misspellings in these blogs, but I find that what I write and what appears on screen can be quite different things! Correction appears almost impossible. I may change blogs. More to follow.
