Tassie Twirl

Departure time is appoaching and still there are things to be done, as always.
The water tanks are full, there is some food on board, Saturday is the big day for that. The decks are clean after 2 days scrubbing, the new SSB (long range) radio aerial is rigged and checked. The chatplotter now has AIS fitted and working. This plots any shipping near us, giving me their contact details, course, speed, etc. Great for pirates.
Our departure is still Saturday morning down to the south end of Port Phillip Bay for the night. Then, due to the weather forecast, it looks like heading to Launceston on the north coast of Tasmania for a couple of days. There are winds due on Tuesday & Wednesday. We will behave like tourists and go exploring wineries, etc and Cradle Mountain as well.
We appear to be on track for departure.
More later,
Hugh.
