Papeete, Taina Marina, 21/04/2018.

Still here!
Now there are 4 of us settled in on board. I’m planning to set off on Tuesday, after refilling all the gerry cans and the water tanks. We may head into Papeete to get tax free booze on Monday.
Dawn, Garry and Meg have just returned from looking around the city this morning.
Garry has just told me that all the anodes on the boat need replacing, Monday’s job!
The outboard is away for service as it refused to start and pumped petrol into the marina, not good!
Tonight I believe Meg is creating a broccoli pasta for dinner, should be good.
It’s Election Day here tomorrow and all the off licenses, supermarkets, etc are forbidden to sell any alcohol for the day, in case of trouble. Good news is that restaurants are permitted to serve alcohol.
Yesterday we took an all day tour across the island in a 4 wheel drive. There is no way an ordinary car could traverse the roads. The were occasional stretches of concrete, otherwise well rutted tracks. The roads were no more than 1 car wide.

There’ll probably be no more blogs for a week or so, it’s not that easy to find wifi in the islands, especially when out on anchor.

All is good on board and we’re all looking forward to moving on finally.
