Port Clinton

Friday 7th November

We are parked for the night in a beautiful bay here 40 miles north of the Keppel Islands, name of Port Clinton. Weather is warm and sunny with northerly winds, we motor sailed all day as there wasn't enough breeze to get us here in daylight. Tomorrow we sail hopefully to the Keppels. I remarked this evening at the cockpit dinner table that there are no shore lights visible anywhere, and the 1/2 moon is bright and reflecting well on the calm waters There are about 14 boats here all anchored, but unlike the WARC, there are no parties anywhere. No BBQ's or music at all.

Last night was in Middle Percy Island in another really lovely bay, very calm and peaceful night. The night before we stopped on Prudhoe Island and had a bumpy night with not much sleep.

We had an email in from Mandy from the WARC. She is Richards Bay, South Africa, waiting for the fleet to arrive. They are dodging a gale at the moment. BlueFlyer is still sending out automatic position reports apparently. Don't know what's happening and don't much care either!

Our new batteries are holding up all night and so the freezer is really cold and making ice cubes for Suzan and Michael's evening Martinis! Have to focus on the important things in life!
