Saturday 12th July
Well our first trip back on BlueFlyer wasn't all that comfortable, due to the rolly seas and high winds. We reefed the main quite a lot of the time, but Darryn has been great and Hugh is doing really well too (although under very close observation!). We then ended up motor-sailing the last 100 miles, as the weather calmed somewhat! That brought us into Vanuatu late on Saturday night. Since we have arrived there has been the usual mountain of paperwork to complete at port, but it's nice to be in another foreign land and exploring somewhere new!
It's amazing how rapidly you lose all sealegs and being used to being on the boat - we feel as though we are starting over again...still, we are very nearly there!
