More heavy weather (and emotions) to tackle

Sunday 9th December

We are still stuck in the middle of lousy weather, very heavy rain this afternoon, and very strong winds. We now have just about 2 square metres of jib up, no mainsail and a 175m long anchor warp (18mm diameter) streaming out the back. Still doing 6.8 kts though!

At last we are travelling in the right direction - with 831 miles of the journey left. I have never seen rain like that we are in the middle of right now - the drops were hitting each other on the way down to make a path for themselves! We have also been unable to refuel the generator for a couple of days, so I'm not sure how long it will keep going. As a result of all these factors, tensions are rising on board.

The chartplotter is still saying the 14th at 3pm GMT as our arrival time, we shall see. We seem to be covering about 160 miles a day, give or take 5 miles.
