Dublin, 25/06/201

Having recovered slowly from the cost of marinas on the Pacific side of Panama I left Michael and
Jamie in charge and flew to Dublin.
3 o'clock in the morning of the first night in Dublin, I got a call from Michael. Due to an extreme Spring tide BlueFlyer was aground, fortunately in mud. I arranged for Michael to move the boat the following day to a deeper berth. I still don't know why the Marina put us there, but no harm done as far as I know. I will get the diver to check the keel and rudder when the hull is being cleaned in readiness for Galapagos visit.
South Dublin does not seem to have changed and is still a lot more pleasant to be visiting than some of the tropical islands.
There was a family and friends reunion yesterday to celebrate my late wife's life. It was great to see so many people there, and it all went off well thanks to my daughter and brother in laws arrangements. The hotel was also great with anything we needed done quickly.
A few more days here visiting friends and family and the back to Panama.

Michael and Jamie are leaving the boat in a couple of days and I wish them safe flights home and a wonder filled future, good luck to you both and thank you for sailing with me for 6 months.

New crew from Sandringham Y C will be joining me next month for the leg to Tahiti. Looking forward to seeing Chris and Graham, and their wives at some time along the journey.

All well here in Dublin.
