After a tough time in Carriacou we had a long, long 3 hour sail to the Tobago Cays. There's no doubt that this area is a large part of Heaven on this planet, despite the humidity. The water is crystal clear, the beaches are white sand and the turtles are plentiful.
We spent the night on anchor, and a peaceful night it was too.
Yesterday we upped the anchor for another 5 hours sail, beating along at around 7 knots, with flat seas and an easterly breeze of 15 to 17 knots. You have to love the Trade Winds when sailing. We are now on a "marina" here in Port Elizabeth. We are stern to a la Mediterranean mooring, with power on board. The marina is an L shaped concrete dock with cleats on it.
I checked us out of The Grenadines this afternoon, but we won't leave till early Monday for the 60 mile sail to Marigot Bay on St Lucia.
I put up a couple of photos on FaceBook this morning of our arrival, as I can't find them to put with this blog. The mysteries of the IT world are pretty much beyond me after 10 months at sea!
All is well on board, and this is the 3rd stopover with no repairs to be done. Touch wood this keeps up for the rest of the trip.
