We were up and off the dock this morning at 06.30, however the bridge controller was absent for about 25 minutes, which delayed us. We eventually got away!
So far the trip has been good. Since leaving Cape Town the engine has been running silently and the generator is running well. We are sailing with only the genoa poled out. Our average speed is about 7 knots and we should arrive in St Helena on Tuesday if the breeze holds.
The first two days we had strong winds (40 knots) and rough seas too, but no problems. We are now sailing with the trade winds.
Michael and Jamie are both well after a couple of days of seasickness. They are now joining us on the watches. All is well on board!
