All safely tucked up in the marina for the next 3 nights.
We upped anchor this morning at 9 o'clock, having decided to postpone the trial dive till we were in the marina, mainly for convenience.
There was some very gentle sailing today as we were not in any hurry, but it did not last beyond about 10.30, though we did try again later, just no real wind.
As planned we went through the Dent Passage past the Hamilton Island Marina and resort on starboard and the golf course on Dent Island to port, with 2 to 3 knots of tide pushing us along. Jet skis going flat out were a little annoying. Then out of the passage and around the north end of North Molle Island and on to the marina.
This evening Eric Clark from Melbourne drove about 150 ks to have dinner with us. Not too far until you realize that his transport is a large interstate truck and trailer. He is going to get some sleep in the truck and then return to pick up a load.
Tomorrow we have the loan of a courtesy car here for 2 hours so that's when the shopping will get done. Day after, diving test and refresher with Shin, then lunch and or dinner with other Melbourne friends who are here on a charter boat.
