Rosslyn Bay, 15/7/2016

What a difference 24 hours can make.
Our plans to leave here tomorrow have gone by the board, it's blowing 30 knots inside this protected marina, and more outside. Forecasted up to 35 knots tomorrow. Not too bad at sea, but not in shoal infested coastal waters. We'll probably be here for Sunday too.

Today Cheryl, Peter and I took the local bus into Yeppoon and had a look around. Then we took another bus on to Rockhampton City. We wandered around the older part, had lunch and did a bit of shopping, then missed the bus back and had to wait an hour for the next one.
On our return we attended a Bastille Day dinner in the local yacht club, very good too. We had dinner last night in the local restaurant here on the marina. None of us were happy with the food and could not suggest the restaurant to any visitors.

Cheryl found a small leak in her cabin, I'll need to check that out tomorrow, along with engine services if there's an oil dump here.

Hi Hugh,
Not surprised you have a leak above the waterline, just looked at Yeppoon rainfall, 164mm since 9.00am!! An inch an hour. If you look at earth.nullschool.net it is easy to see what is bringing it in. At least it doesn't appear to be cold.
We have had a glorious sunny day here today which is a change. Cheryl and I went to Bendigo last Wednesday (by train) and passed a good dusting of snow between Macedon and Romsey. Very cold all day.
Cheers,

Colin
