Pittwater, 21/6/2016

Finally we set off again. 5 nights in Sydney became too much for me though good for the others.
Cheryl went home yesterday with about a dozen charts under her arm. I suggested she could help the pilot navigate if he had problems. These were the charts up to Sydney so there was no point in keeping them on the boat anymore.

After about an hours sailing this morning it was on with the engine and more motor sailing again. It's only about 20 miles up the coast to the entrance of the Hawkesbury river, but then it's another hour to the Marina we chose. As we approached the wind gusted up to around 20 knots at right angle to us so it became a little awkward to park the boat, but all went well in the end.

We all took a stroll up to the village, checked out the pub- not great, and went on to check the Thai restaurant. If it's open we will eat there this evening.

Early start tomorrow, daybreak, and on to Newcastle where we have a booking on the Marina already arranged.
