Enjoying our own private Pacific Island...

Tuesday 1st April

Its now 1020pm and we are just back on the boat, having had a lovely fish dinner on the Jeanneau 49 deck saloon. We are anchored beside another WARC boat, in a beautiful bay which we have all to oursleves, as it's uninhabited. We sailed here from Hiva Oa today and will head on to Nuka Hiva either tomorrow or the next day. The boats look strange anchored next to one another in the dark - like they are racing each other. Quite disconcerting to see. We may stay here tomorrow night as well - we had a fantastic beach BBQ on the beautiful golden beach here.

We have now had 3 of Shin's fish meals - I can tell you that no sushi or sashimi you have had would compare to his fresh caught tuna ones. They are unbelievably good and so tender - and that's with yellow fin tuna, which Shin says does not compare to the black finned ones, either in taste or quality.
