Quiet day aboard

Saturday 22nd March

We are at the end of a long and very quiet day, no real wind. There has been a gradual decrease all day and we are down to about 10 kts of wind, so with the boat moving along at about 6 kts, we only feel 4-5 kts apparent wind. The result is sails flapping and banging around and a longer ETA, now a day later, the 28th. We'll see how it works out as Bruce has just told us to go a little further south to get better winds until the trades fil in again on Monday. This is all caused by a depression south of 15 disrupting the normal pattern and giving cooler conditions down there.

Val made a lovely Tuna Pasta bake this evening, it vanished in a flash! Shin is doing a Carbonnara tomorrow, looking forward to that.

I have picked up a sore lower back in the last couple of days which is a nuisance. Val keeps treating me though so it is gradually getting better. I went down the stern locker and cleaned the long range radio aerial contacts and retensioned the steering cable as well. All is in order that I could see.

Still no fresh fish to report, although as a bonus we haven't lost any more lures either.
