Saturday 8th March
Still counting down to the departure tommorow...we have found a supply of frozen meat (through a restauranter originally from Sicily!), so we have stocked up on chicken and pork etc. It is still warm and humid - but at least when we are on the boat there is a bit of a sea breeze which helps makes things a lot more pleasant.
Unfortunately it sounds as though we may have to say goodbye to that breeze during some of our Pacific trip however - our forecaster predicts periods of very light/no wind, so a mid-Pacific delivery of fuel for the engine would be very useful - if anyone can arrange it!
We went to the Red Mangrove Inn, a very nice restaurant just a little way out of town for dinner again this evening - 14 of us. We booked a table on Monday. Come 9.30, 4 of us had ordered mains (we had all had starters). When the others tried to order they were told that the restaurant had run out of food!! However we all shared the 4 mains, plus some more starters they made up. Plenty of food in the end. At least there was enough wine!
