Monday 25th February
Its now 4 PM and we have been motoring since 9.30, and will continue until we arrive. It looks like Friday around lunch time into Puerto Ayora. There is a strong current against us, around 2.5-3 knots which is knocking us back quite badly. I think we have just enough fuel to complete the journey under engine. If the current drops, or we get any wind the ETA might be earlier. All the boats are now motoring, and I suspect squeezing all the mpg they can. I'm fairly certain that I can extract fuel from the generator tank with a bit of a struggle, and that has around 75 ltrs in it. We wont need the genny as we are motoring and so charging the batteries anyway. The Pacific is certainly living up to its name at the moment!
We are approx. 110 miles west of Ecuador now, and the sea temperature is rising, however I'm told that the Galapagos water temp could be as low as 17C. So perhaps only land tours for us, and no diving/snorkelling.

Hi, I am finding it hard to follow your course on WCC Website, is it all the netting or was there a position error? Anyway all seems peaceful weatherwise so far, safe journey, see you soon. Paul
