Half way across the Atlantic!

Wednesday 5th December

We have passed the half way mark and Val just cooked an upside down pineapple cake to celebrate!!

We are now expecting strong winds again - up to 30 knots - so we are in for a bumpy night. Everyone is well though, so we can't complain! Hugh is happy and very relaxed and we both manage to catch up on sleep after a middle of the night watch - it's like having a baby again!!!!

We did get awoken abruptly by a school of flying fish landing on the deck last night however! It sounded like gunshot going off above us, as 10's of the things landed on the deck...thud, thud thud! Awoke with a start that time!

Hi all,
I note that it's still 5th November where you are. We're obviously a month ahead of you.
The blog is becoming addictive. Such excitement - flying fish, bumpy nights and pineapple upsidedown cake. What are you up to? Wish we were with you (sometimes)..though I personally could live without Val's cake (typical brother's comment)
Keep up the good work. You're brilliant! Lotsa love from Tony and Eveline
